Insertion - tibia tuberosity via the patella and patella ligament
Action - flexion of the hip, extension of the knee, lateral rotation of the knee,
Sartorius
Origin - anterior superior iliac spine
Insertion - proximal, medial shaft of the tibia at pes anserinus tendon
Action - flexion of the knee, flexion of the hip, abduction of the hip
Assists with lateral rotation of the hip
Semi tendinous
Origin - ischial tuberocity
Insertion - proximal, medial shaft of the tibia at pes anserinus tendon
Action - flexion of the knee, medial rotation of the knee, extension of the hip, medial rotation of the hip,
Semi membranous
Origin - ischial tuberosity
Insertion - posterior aspect of the medial condyle of tibia

Origin - lateral lip of the linea aspera
Insertion - head of the fibula
Action - flexion of the knee, extension of the hip

Origin - inferior ramus of pubis
Insertion - proximal, medial shaft of tibia at pes anserinus tendon

Origin - bodies and transverse processes of lumbar vertebrae
Insertion - lesser trochanter
Action - flexion of the hip,

Origin - superior ramus of the pubis
Insertion - pectineal line of the femur
Action - flexion of the hip, adduction of the hip
Adductor Longus
Origin - pubic tubercle
Insertion - medial lip of the linea aspera
Action - flexion of the hip, adduction of the hip medial rotation of the hip, lateral rotation of the hip
Adductor Brevis
Origin - inferior ramus of the pubis
Insertion - pectineal line and medial lip of the linea aspera
Action - flexion of the hip, adduction of the hip, medial rotation of the hip, lateral rotation of the hip
Adductor Magnus
Origin - inferior ramus of the pubis
Insertion - medial lip of the linea aspera and the adductor tubercle

Origin - gluteal surface oh ilium, between posterior and anterior gluteal lines
Insertion - lateral aspect of the greater trochanter
