What is a red flag to send to doctor?
Blood in the stool (not on the TP)
What are some sx of colorectal cancer?
- bleeding
pain
pain in stomach
unexplained weight loss
What age are we most concerned about colorectal cancer?
50-60 yrs
Tx (non drug)
post BM - cleanliness
timing of showers
dry skin lotion PRN (put on TP)
take pressure off area PRN
prolapsed push it back in
When are sitz bath used?
only for surgery

Anusol - great
prep H - makes false claims works a bit
What is anusol
zinc sulfate in the base
used for hemorrhoids
What is anusol plus
has anesthetic (pramoxine)
not going to help with the pain much
What is the regiment for anusol?
for supp
insert BID and post BM
for ointment
