  • de-oxygenated blood returns via veins into right atrium
  • from right atrium to right ventricle through the tricuspid valve
  • from right ventricle to pulmonary trunk
  • pulmonary trunk divides into pulmonary arteries to the lungs
  • oxygenated blood returns in pulmonary veins to the left atrium
  • from left atrium to left ventricle through the mitral valve
  • from left ventricle to aorta to the rest of the body
