HCP Program Requirements
A
- Noise Measurement and Exposure Assessment, taken as part of IH survey
- Labeling of noise hazardous areas
A) NAVMED 6260/2 (Hazardous Warning Decal 8” x 10”). 1) To be posted outside of doors and hatches leading into hazardous noise area.
2) Weather deck door will have hazard posted inside of that door/hatch.
B) Navmed 6260/2A (Hazardous Noise Label 2” x 2”) - Noise Abatement is a reduction of noise at the source must be explored before implementation
- Personal Hearing Protective Devices are needed in areas where noises levels are equal to 96dBA or greater than 165 dBP, double hearing pro is needed, label as hazardous noise
- Hearing Testing and Medical Surveillance
