Impacts of HIV/aids on a person
Vicious cycle of disease (learn stages)
If HIV advances to aids then The body becomes more prone to infections because the virus weakens the immune system.
People dying younger- lower life expectancy
Older children have to look after families because parents die meaning they lose education.
Impacts of hiv/aids of a country
Expensive to treat so less money and less health care for people with other illnesses.
Children miss education because they have to look after families after parents die.
Lower life expectancy on the country because oeople are dying from the disease.
Less working people because they are sick so less crops and food being produced.
Solutions to HIV / aids
ARV (antiretreval) drugs to slow down the effects of the disease but not a cure. They do however stop the disease passing from mother to child during pregnancy.
Educate people to use protection while having sex.
Screen blood transfusions to make sure it has no viruses.
Use new needles when having blood transfusions
