Q

3 possibilities of Guerilla Ldr upon being encirciled:

A

a. Plan & execute a breakout at the earliest opportunity. This is usually the most feasible COA for him but if it becomes evident that it will fail, he divides his force into small units to exfiltration through the en cordon to pre-selected assembly areas.
b. Dissolve his units & disappear on an individual basis abandoning much of his eqpt & supplies in order to survive & fight again. The guerrilla ldr may be forced to adopt this COA. It may, however, result in loss of valuable docs & eqpt & may lead to the loss of his org, which has to be rebuilt.
c. Hold his force together & organize the strongest possible perimeter defense. This is the least likely COA for obvious reasons.
