Issue: Grievance
Immediate Actions
- Meet with employee about grievance
Investigate
- Review SOP 02.07.01 Grievances
- 1st step-oral report to immediate supervisor within 20 business days that employee is informed of event
- Consult BC prior to providing response within 5 business days
Notify
- Battalion Management Team (BC and EMS Supervisor)
Document/Discipline
- Supervisors notes (names, date, time)
Follow up
- Delegate training for the shift to LT or Master Technician on SOPs and different avenues to pursue grievances (mediation for example)
- Review training in 3 working days, have the training delivered in 6 working days
