Believe evil and suffering is part of the world and people have a duty to relieve it just like Jesus cured those who are sick and forgave people

God allows suffering into the world for a good reason to choose between good and bad so we don’t become like robots to God -God wants us to choose to worship him

1) Job is a good man who worships God and lives a good life
2) satan asks Gods permission to test Job and see how faithful he is to God
3) goat is confident of Job space and gives permission, Job loses everything but he does not lose his faith to God
4) in the end Job is rewarded by God

- Suggests that Satan causes it
- Part of gods ineffable plan
