GONI Flashcards
Shoulder Flexion placement
Axis: Acromial process
Moving- lateral midline of humerus using lateral epi for reference
Stationary- mid axillary line
Firm end feel
Shoulder extension
Prone
Axis: Acromial process
Moving: Lateral midline of humerus using lateral epi for reference
Stationary: midaxillary line
FIrm end feel
Shoulder abduction
Axis: Anterior aspect of acromial process
Moving: medial midline of humerus
Still: Parallel to midline of anterior aspect of sternum
FIrm end feel
Shoulder adductoin
Axis: Anterior acromial process
Moving: Medial midline of humerus
Still: Parallel to midline of sternum
Shoulder medial rotation
Axis: Olecranon process
Moving: Ulnar styloid process
Still: Perpendicular to floor
Firm end feel
Shoulder lateral rotation
Same as medial rotation
Firm end feel
Stabilize distal end of humerus
Elbow Flesion
Axis: lateral epicondyle
Moving: Lateral midline of radius, use radial head as reference
Still: lateral midline of humerus
Soft end feel
Elbow Extension
Axis: Lateral epicondyle
Moving: Lateral midline of radius
Still: Lateral midline of humerus
Hard end feel
Forearm Pronation
Test with elbow flexed to 90
Axis: Lateral to ulnar styloid process
Moving: dorsal aspect of forearm
Still: parallel to anterior midline of humerus
Forearm supination
Test with elbow flexed to 90
Axis: Medial to ulnar styloid process
Moving: ventral aspect of forearm just proximal to syloid process
Still: Parallel to anterior midline of humerus
Firm end feel
Wrist flexion
Axis lateral aspect of wrist over triquetrum
Moving: lateral midline of pinky (5th)
Still: Lateral midline of ulna
Stabilize radius and ulna to prevent supination/pro
Firm end feel
Wrist extension
Same as flexion
Wrist Radial deviaton
Want shoulder abducted to 90 and elbow flexed to 90 to test
Axis: Over the dorsal aspect on the capitate
Moving: With 3rd metacarpal
Still: Midline of the forearm
Firm end feel
Wrist ulnar deviation
Same as RD
