Globalisation is the process by which people, cultures , finance, goods and information transfer between countries with few barriers

Advances have helped breakdown of barrier allowing the flow of people, information and goods
How has communication helped with connecting the world
As people are now able to communicated with each other a lot faster
Positive SEE
S: See many new cultures and groups
E: New job opportunities allow people to do what they are good at and interested in
E: Learn new ways of growing plants, learning about new species of animals
How has travel helped with connecting the world
As common people are able to travel fast and far to see new places and cultures
Negative SEE:
S: Culture erosion
E: Quality of products decreasing, small scale vs large scale brand competition
E: Deforestation, erosion of animals, loss of love for nature
Switched off country
A country that is against globalisation and keeps to itself
Switched on country
A country that actively works with other countries and is for globalisation
Reasons for being switched off
Political - Corruption
Economic - Disadvantaged by trade/ weak markets

The limitation of news and information
Globalisation control through censorship
China has a firewall which censors access to the internet. Stops information which the government believes is untrue or unnecessary
Correlation between communication and mass tourism
The more we see the more we want to do
Correlation between transport and mass tourism
The better the transport the easier it is to travel and see places around the world
What makes a place desirable for tourists

- Culture
- Attractions (theme parks, resorts)
