What are some causes for an AUTOLAND light?
Excessive G/S or LOC deviationor signal loss
Both APs fail
Radio altimeters differ by more than 15 feet
Explain side stick operation and the SIDE STICK PRIORITY light on the glareshield
If both sticks receive input at the same time, an Aural DUAL INPUT is triggered and the green CAPT F/O lights will flash. The two inputs are summed to generate a singular input.
The last pilot to press the red AP disconnect button will have priority, Triggering a PRIORITY LEFT(RIGHT) aural alert. Holding that button for 40 sec will render the opposite sidestick inop.
The Pilot who has lost priority will have a red arrow replace their green light, pointing to the pilot with control.
Pressing the red button on the inop sidestick will bring it back to life.
Avoid all that shit and say I HAVE CONTROL if you feel the need to play with the stick.
