Q

Explain how convection currents work.

A

Magma inside the mantel heated up and rise. Then when it cools down it sinks back down to the mantel. And it becomes a cycle.

Q

What is each layer of the earth made of?

A

The core has two layers:inner core and outer core. The core is made out of nickel and iron. The inner core is solid due to the pressure and the outer core is liquid. The mantel is made out of molten rocks/magma.The crust is called plates.

Q

Describe constructive plate boundaries.

A

It drag tectonic plates apart.

Q

Describe destructive plate boundaries.

A

It happens when two plates move towards each other,or collide.
The ocean plate is heavier and sinks into the mantel.
