General Operating Procedures Flashcards
When a power down is required with passengers on board, comply with the following:
- Do not power down during the boarding or deplaning process.
- Coordinate with cabin crew
- announcement explaining the need to power down
- The flight attendant informs the crew when they are ready to proceed with the power down.
- accomplished using the shutdown and terminating checklist.
- Established flows, checklists, and procedures must be used to re-establish power to the aircraft.
- Use of emergency lighting shall not be used
ANTI-SKID 1 CHANNEL INOPERATIVE CALCULATIONS
Ensure the dispatch release indicates ANTI-SKID 1 CH INOP in the remarks
check the new landing take off requirements
- This is accomplished using the actual landing distance chart in either the Performance Cards or the QRH Volume 1, section PERF-07
When should the APU start be delayed until on the ground?
Until 10 minutes prior to pushback, unless required for AC power or passenger comfort.
How long should you wait after starting the APU before establishing APU bleed air?
Wait two minutes.
What should be considered for a successful APU start when ground temperatures are extremely cold?
Use the alternate start procedure.
What should be done with the APU when taxiing single engine in the CRJ 200 for a bleeds open takeoff?
Shut down the APU after the second engine start, unless needed for passenger comfort.
What is required for all FFOD takeoffs in the CRJ 200 regarding engine bleeds?
Engine bleeds shall be closed.
When is the APU not started after landing in the CRJ 200 unless certain conditions are met
Time remaining until departure is less than 30 minutes.
Environmental conditions require APU bleed air.
External AC power is unavailable at the gate.
APU START – COLD SOAKED START PROCEDURE
APU START / STOP MOMENTARILY SELECT / START
APU PWR FUEL MOMENTARILY SELECT / EXTINGUISH
After start, comply with remainder of normal start procedure.
APU START - FLIGHT 200
CONTINUOUS IGNITION
Continuous ignition must be used during the following:
- Takeoffs and landings on contaminated runways
- Takeoffs with high crosswind components > 10 knots (CRJ 200)
- Flight through moderate or heavier intensity rain
- Flight through moderate or heavier intensity turbulence
Flight in the vicinity of thunderstorms
When can the parking brake be released on a quick turn where brake temperatures are an issue?
After chocks are set, provided the aircraft remains powered.
When should the parking brake be released when leaving the airplane on an overnight where it may be relocated or towed?
Only after the Battery Master has been turned off.
STEERING PROCEDURES
Do not use differential braking (inside brake) or differential thrust to assist when making turns. Do not use rudders when using the tiller to command turns.
Allow the aircraft to roll slightly forward before initiating a turn with the tiller.
