  • Manipulation: parents actively encourage their children to behave and act in a way that is considered appropriate for their gender such as dressing their daughters in dresses

A

Would argue that this is done in order to reinforce the partiarchy which is a society that is dominated by men and they hold all the power gender stereotypes are a way of keeping women out of power and reinforcing the nuclear family
