diabetes, idiopathic
what are symptoms of stasis due to gastroparesis?
nausa, abd pain, early satiety, vomiting, signs of malnutrition
what tests should you run for gastroparesis?
thyroid function test, serum cortisol, electrolytes
how long after eating will you see vom with gastroparesis
15-20 minutes
how can you do gastric emptying studies?
radioactive isotope, measure after 2 and 4 hrs. greater than 10% after 4 hrs means delayed gastric emptying
also, manometry, breath test (acetate or octanoic acid)
what is the major problem with macrolides in gastroparesis?
long qt syndrome
