- Acute- Suddent onset. 90% Infectious
- Chronic- quite a few weeks. Mostly non infectious
- Persistent- Lasting 2-4 weeks, resolves after
What are some causes of Acute & Chronic diarrhoea?
- Acute- Infections, laxatives, graft v host, ischemic colitis
- Chronic- IBD, IBS, Diverticulitis, Colorectal cancer, Coeliac, Carcinoid tumours
