What types of gas did they use in ww1
Compressed liquid chlorine, phosgene and mustard gas
What did these gases do to the soldiers
The liquid chlorine burnt skin and left you gasping fir air.
They all had terrible effects.
The yellow gas was the most unpleasant, men were blinded, huge yellow blisters appeared on any exposed skin and lungs were stripped of their lining.
How were the soldiers warned of the gas
Shell cases were strung up with wire and they banged it if gas was near
How could chlorine gas be detected
By smelling it
