With fuel in the center tank, when do the Center Tank Pumps run with the MODE SEL in AUTO?
With fuel in the Center tank:
1) Center pumps run for 2
minutes at each engine start
2) Before or after engine start
sequence, the pumps run if
the slats are retracted.
Center tank pumps stop 5 mins after tank empty (low level reached)
Does Center Tank fuel on the A321
directly feed the engines?
NO.
Primary difference = 320 fuel goes directly to engines, 321 fuel goes to wing tanks
What is indicated by a FAULT light in
a FUEL PUMP switch?
Low Output Pressure
What is indicated by the white ON X FEED light?
In transit –valve is opening
If a fuel pump FAULT light illuminates in flight, what will allow the engines to continue to run?
YES –Gravity Feed
What is indicated by the blue OPEN X FEED light?
Valve is fully open
In flight, with fuel in both wing tanks, if all tank pumps failed, would the engines continue to run?
Yes

With the MODE SEL in the AUTO position
and fuel in the center tank,
will fuel feed directly to the engine from the center tank?
No. Fuel transfers from the center tank to the wing tanks to feed the engines.
What is represented by a FAULT light in the

Just Green and Blue are powered. Yellow System would not be powered with 1 Engine Master ON and Parking Brake ON. PTU is inhibited in this configuration.
If you forget to turn on the Y Electric Pump during
One Engine Taxi, the G & B systems will still be powered. Which hydraulic system(s) will operate if the Parking Brake is selected OFF?
All hydsystems are powered.
Yellow System powered through PTU with 1 Engine Master ON and Parking Brake OFF.
After parking at the gate, the PTU will operate upon shutdown of the second engine until or unless what occurs?
Cargo door operation or no longer a >500 psi differential between the green and yellow systems upon spool down of engine 2
What could cause the PTU FAULT light to illuminate?
1 The green or the yellow reservoir overheats.
2 The green or the yellow reservoir has low air pressure.
3 The green or the yellow reservoir has low fluid level.
The FAULT light remains illuminated if the overheat is active.
In flight, when will the PTU operate with the Pbin AUTO
The PTU operates automatically when the differential pressure between the green and yellow system is more than 500 PSI
With the RAT MAN ON pbarmed (guarded),
when will the RAT deploy automatically?
The RAT will automatically extend if both AC 1 and AC 2 are lost and the airspeed is >100 knots
