From SPV slides April 2019
A valid cockpit voice recorder test will occur if what conditions are met when the CVR TEST PB is pressed?
Pressed and held: Activates the test if the CVR is energized and the parking brake is ON.
A low frequency signal sounds through the two flight deck speakers.
GND CLT must be “ON”
What does the dashed green energy arc indicate?
The required distance to land from present position.
i.e. descend to airport and slow to Vapp
The dashed green energy arc indicates the required distance to land from present position.
When will it appear?
Only displayed in descent and approach phase when a selected lateral mode is engaged (HDG or TRK)
What is the difference between the yellow Slideslipindicator, and the Blue Beta Target?
[YELLOW] Indicates Slideslip(Lateral acceleration of the aircraft)
[BLUE] When centered, indicates the optimum amount of slideslipfor best single engine performance
When will the BETA target index replace the turn and slip indicator?
In case of engine failure during takeoff or go-around, the sideslip index changes from yellow to blue, and its function changes to beta target
In case of an engine failure, the BETA target index will replace the turn and slip indicator. Why is it ideal to center the BETA target index?
When the beta target index is centered, the amount of sideslip is optimized for best single-engine performance (which may result in a slight bank)
When TO INHIBIT or LDG INHIBIT are displayed on the lower right side of the E/WD, what does this mean?
Only those failures/fires that require immediate recognition or attention are presented. Others are suppressed.
On approach, when is the Flight Warning Computer LDG INHIBIT feature active?
During landing (800 ftor 80 kts) phases,
the right side of E/WD displays a specific LDG INHIBIT (magenta) memo, which indicates that only failures that need immediate attention are displayed by the Flight Warning Computer
During takeoff, when is the Flight Warning Computer
T.O. INHIBIT feature active?
Takeoff Power to 1500’ or 2 minutes After Liftoff
What will happen if you press and hold the

Cancels any present aural warning as long as failure continues
Extinguishes Master Warning lights
Does not affect the ECAM message display
What happens when you press the EMER CANC pushbutton for a CAUTION?
Cancels any present Caution for the remainder of the flight

Which pushbuttons remain operative in the event of an ECAM control panel failure?
The CLR, RCL, STS, EMER CANC and ALL pbs remain operative
What occurs when you push the RCL pushbutton?
Calls up warning or caution messages and STS page that may have been inhibited or cleared
