What’s a good?
Any product that can be valued in money and can form subject of commercial transactions, including waste and energy
What’s not included in the Goods definition provided by EU LAW?
1- Agriculture and Fish products
2- Arms, Munitions and War material
Different origins of goods
1) Goods wholly obtained in a single country shall be regarded as having their origin in that country/territory
2) Goods the production of which involves more than one country shall be deemed to originate in the country where they underwent the last, substantial, economically-justified process resulting in a manufacture of a new product
Does the Free Circulation of Goods have Direct Effect?
Yes
Prohibition of Financial Barriers OR measures having an effect equivalent to quantitative restrictions
It’s prohibited to impose financial barriers of any kind (= or any charges/taxation having the same effect of duties)
- No discrimination between products taxation
- No quantitative restrictions
