Q

what is Newton’s first Law of motion?

A
  • if resultant force acting on a stationary object is 0, then object will remain stationary
  • if resultant force acting on a moving object is 0, then object will continue to move in the same direction at same speed (with same velocity).

Q

what are resistive forces?

A

an equal force in the opposite direction. they include friction with air and road in a car. they slow down an object
