a push or pull that acts on an object due to the interaction with another object

example of contact force?
tension (in tug of war, force of tension is pulling on solider
what is friction? what happens between aeroplane landing in sea?
a contact force, in this situation force of friction acting between the water and aeroplane
what is air resistance an example of? skydiver example?
a contact force. as person falls, air particles collide with the parachute causes force of air resistance to act upwards
what is a lamp an example of? lamp example
normal contact force. lamp exerting a downward force on the table. this is the weight of lamp. at the same time, table is exerting an upward force on the lamp.
when can normal contact force only happen?
when two objects are in direct contact
what is non-contact force?
two objects are physically separated
what is gravitational force an example of? give an example of gravitational force
non-contact force as ur attracts all objects to other objects
e.g GF attracts International space station to the earth + earth to ISS
what is electrostatic force and what is it an example of?
force between two charged objects. it is a non contact force
what objects will experience an electrostatic force of attraction?
objects with opposite charges
