OS tibiale externum - overlays anterior process of calcaneus & navicular

OS intermetatarseum - corticated supernumerary metatarsal fused to the second metatarsal

Hallux sesamoid bones - found in flexor halluces brevis tendon

A

What are the 2 main alignment guides

A

Heel pad measurement - between the plantar surface of the calcaneus and the external skin
(average m&f = 19mm) (maximum m = 25mm f = 23mm)

Boehlers angle - 3 highest points of superior surface of calcaneus are connected by 2 tangential lines to form an angle
