-preferenced test
e.g
-paired preference test where 2people are given 2slightly different food and the taster chooses their favourite of the 2 foods
-hedonic rating test, where people rate various foods using a scale 1-5
state the 3 types of graidng test
-ranking, where they put the foods in order from lowest to highest
-rating, where they rate chracteristics of the food
-profiling, similar to rating but this time the average rating is used
