what are the three difference types of stretching to improve flexibility
- static
- dynamic/ballistic
- PNF
FLEXIBILITY
what is static stretching and why is it good
this is when an individual holds the position while keeping the body still for a fixed amount of time (5-10s)
This is good as it is straightforward and safe
FLEXIBILITY
Name and explain the 2 different types of static stretching
static active - when a person performs a stretch independently by applying internal force to stretch
+ calf strech
+ back strech
static passive - when a person has an assistant when steching, this helps apply an external force causing the muscle to stretch.
+ helping
FLEXIBILITY
what is dynamic / ballistic streching

usually swinging, bobbing or bouncing
+ High Kicks
+ Jump Squats
