- Will only discharge water if heat from fire has melted a sprinkler head.
- Zone 12 (Aux building 1st floor hallway)

Q
Wet pipe sprinkler system
A
-Water is already in lines to the sprinkler heads, requires only fire to melt heads to discharge water
8
Q
Dry-Pipe sprinkler system
A
- Water is not in pipes leading to sprinkler heads.
- Air pressure in the piping keeps the dry pipe valve clapper shut.
- Loss of air pressure will cause clapper valve to open, filling the system with water
