How is the crew notified if there is fire in the APU?
Top half of EMER STOP button. will illuminate.
What will occur of the EMER STOP button is not pressed when a fire is detected?
it will shut off the SOV for the fuel in 10 seconds.
When do you press the APU Fire Extinguisher button?
when the EMER STOP does not extinguish the APU Fire button and the QRH directs to push the button. It will shut off the fuel and discharge halogen
If the fire is detected in the cargo hold while on the ground, what must be done to put it out? (while the AFT button is flashing)
press the button once to dispense the high pressure discharge and again to dispense the low pressure discharge.
If the fire is detected in the cargo hold while on the ground, what must be done to put it out? (no announciator, FA reported smoke from below)
Press the FWD or AFT button once to arm the Holon extinguishers, press once to dispense high pressure and again to dispense the low pressure
If the fire is detected in the cargo hold while on the air, what must be done to put it out? (while the AFT button is flashing)
Press the lit up button once to dispense both hologen bottles
If the fire is detected in the cargo hold while in the air, what must be done to put it out? (No announciators)
press one button to arm it. press again to dispense both halogens.
Is the Fire Extinguisher used in the cargo compartment can be used for both compartments?
no only 1.
Where is the halogen located in the LAV?
trash can. Activating when reaching a certain temperature
how long does it take to discharge the high and the low pressure discharge bottles?
60 seconds low, 75 high pressure
