Air Management System Flashcards
What does the air management system consists of?
The pneumatic system
Environmental control system
Cabin Pressure Control System
When does the engine bleed valve pop open?
when in auto
bleed available
no duct leak
no fire detected
When will the system shut down the bleed valve?
leak, overpressure, or failed
What prevents the bleed air from to the engines to flow into the APU?
APU bleed check valve
When does the APU bleed valve is open?
when the following conditions occur: APU switch is in Auto APU bleed available no duct leak left engine bleed not available no anti ice requested
When does the crossbleed system commanded open?
one system lacks bleed source
crossbleed start with APU off
no leak unless needed for start
no fire extinguisher handle pulled
When would you use the HP cart?
engine start
how many loops in the overheat protection system?
2.
when the APU bleed valve is closed the only source of bleed air will come from the engine or the ground cart. TF
T
When taxing with 2 engines the bleed source will be the engines unless ECS is off and the APU is auto. (once exception) TF
t
APU will be the source of bleed if the ECS is off and APU is auto and AI is off all the way for takeoff 500ft. tf
true
one pack is enough to supply the cabin with adequate temperature and pressure tf
t
single engine bleed can supply both packs when in crossbleed tf
t
When does the Gasper shutoff valve activate?
when the passengers experience hot air (35*c) blowing on Thier face
Describe the recirculation fan system?
the air is drawn by 2 fans in to the recirculation bay, mixed, and redistributed back into the cabin. the air 48% recirculated air and 52% fresh
