Electrical System Flashcards
What is the sequence logic for finding power on order when activating the electrical system?
- IDG
- APU
- GPU
- IDG #2 from the opposite side
How many batteries are installed and what type of characteristics they posses?
2 Sealed lead acid batteries. 24 volts 28 Amp. one in the front and one in the rear. Charged by DC power through the electrical system.
How long would the system run on using only the electrical battery source?
10 min
What Items are always powered regardless of the battery switch?
Hot busses: fire protection and fueling capabilities as well as some lights. (there’s some more stuff but it’s small)
What is the difference between AC GPU and DC GPU?
AC can power the whole aircraft, DC used to assist starting the APU
When does the GPU switch show “Available”?
when it detects proper:
Frequency
Amperage
Voltage
What will happen if you disconnect GPU while having the GPU switch engaged?
The system won’t allow you to reconnect untill the button has been pushed in
What will happen if less than 5 min remain on the battery?
Chime will sound
How many batteries are needed to start the APU and why?
- 1 arms the FADEC and the second Allowed it to be started
what’s on the AC essential BUS?
AC motor Pump 1 slat 1 flap acmp3a AC fuel pump 2
How many batteries are there really?
- Fly by wire back up battery (15min)+ slides on the ac
