What is the procedure for civilian subjects?

A

SF may NOT submit a civilian’s fingerprints for the purpose of criminal indexing / creating a criminal history record, as doing so would require arrest authority over civilians, which SF does not have.

The Indexing, Fingerprinting and DNA Collection Checklist for all incidents and investigations requiring fingerprint collection.

What will SF do with the checklist for all incidents?

A

SF will maintain the completed checklist in the investigative case file, with a .pdf of the electronic FD-249, (or hard copies if taken), III printout showing the offenses and the transmitted response, and the AF Form 179, Apprehension/Arrest Notification Form.
