Most reports, however, begin with a summary of findings and recommendations, followed by document details. Starting with summary information highlights the essence of the report, giving management the option of reviewing the details later
The report contains the following sections:
- Cover Letter
- Table of content
- Overview
- Detailed findings
- Economic Justification
- Recommendation and conclusion
- Appendixes
formally presents the report and briefly indicates to management the nature, general findings and recommendations to be considered.
Cover Letter
specifies the location of various parts of the report
table of content
is a narrative explanation of the purpose and scope of the project, the reason for undertaking the feasibility study and the department(s) involved or affected by the candidate system.
Overview
outlines the method used in the present system.
Detailed findings
details point-by-point cost comparisons and preliminary cost estimates for the development and operation of the candidate system.
Economic Justification
suggest to management the most beneficial and cost-effective system.
Recommendations and conclusion
all memos and data compiled during investigation. they are placed at the end of the report for reference
