External Genetalia: Mons Pubis, Labia Majora, Labia Minora, Clitoris, Vestibular Glands, Vestibule

Ovarian fossa in the lateral wall of the pelvis
Shape of the ovary?
Almond shaped
Dimensions of ovaries
3.5cm length
1.5cm width

Orientation of the ovaries in women without children
In Nullipara: Axis is vertical, so the ovary has superior & inferior poles
Orientation of the ovaries in women with children
In Multipara: Axis becomes horizontal, so the superior pole becomes lateral & the inferior pole becomes medial

Relations of the upper/tubal pole
Related to the uterine tube and the external iliac vein
The ovarian fimbria and the suspensory ligament of the ovary are attached to the upper pole of the ovary
Relation of the lower/uterine pole
Ligament of the ovary connects the lower pole of the ovary to the lateral angle of the uterus posteroinferiorly to the attachment of the uterine tube
Relations of the anterior/mesovarian border pole of the ovaries
Related to the uterine tube and the obliterated umbilical artery
Attached to the back of the broad ligament of the uterus by the mesovarium, and forms the hilus of the ovary
