What determines the age of puberty?
The season in which the kitten was born
- If they are born in anestrus (fall and winter), they will reach puberty sooner as cyclicity will be reached sooner
- If they are born in cyclicity, they have to wait until the cycle of the next year
How long is anestrus in the queen?
3-4 months
What signs are seen in proestrus in the queen?
Increased activity, vocalization, increased affection towards people, increasing estrogen levels

Similar signs as proestrus, high estrogen, takes breeding position
