Inverting pattern with 1 or 2 layers

• Utrecht
• Cushing
• Lembert
• Use #1 or #2 suture –> NOT 1-0 OR 2-0
• Don’t enter the lumen

Question 2

What is the aftercare for the C section?

Answer 2

• Give oxytocin to promote uterine contractions –> before AND after closure depending on preference
• Stall rest, ABs, ecbolics (oxytocin or lutalyse), analgesia and NSAIDs
