20,000 workers were locked out of the Putilov Steel Factory, other workers went on strike in support

A

90,000 workers on strike and 50 factories closed.

Striking workers joined the IWD protesters and there were 240,000 people striking in Petrograd

200,000 workers on strike. Strikers overturned statues, chanted revolutionary phrases and sang the La Marseillaise.

A

General Khabilov and was ordered to restore order by military force.
Mutiny began in Volynskii regiment, where a sergeant shot his commanding officers. 66,000 soldiers mutinied and joined protesters. 40,000 rifles.
Revolutionaries set up a Soviet intended to take over the Government, organising food supplies.
