Superficial Fascia
A
- Also called “subcutaneous layer” or “hypodermis”

Areolar and adipose connective tissue
- Variable amounts of fat
- Deep to skin, superficial to deep fascia and muscles

Deep Fascia
A
- Endomysium and perimysium all parts of deep fascia
- Dense connective tissue that surrounds muscle groups, fascicles and individual skeletal muscle fibers
- Deep to superficial fascia
- Sometimes named (e.g. thoracolumbar fascia)
