우리__(family member)
“My (family member)”; “We”; “Us”
To say “my” family member (mother, sister, etc.), use 우리 (we, us) instead of 저의 or 제.
Using 저의 or 제 are not incorrect, but they sound less natural - almost as if you’re claiming ownership of that family member.
우리 can also be used with or without 의 to mean “our”.
Ex: my/our mother = 우리 어머니 / 우리의 어머니
우리 can also be used to say “my” with pets.
Ex: my/our dog = 우리 강아지
(family member)님
The 님 attached to the end of a title makes it extra polite.
When you talk about someone else’s family, you can use this.
Ex1: 어머님 = mother (extra polite)
Ex2: 아버님 = father (extra polite)
