Airspace classes and associated requirements and limitations.
A: Instrument rated
B: “Cleared into Bravo”, Mode C, ADS B out, 2 way radio. Private pilot or student who received training for that Bravo.
C: Two ways communications. Mode C, ADS B out. Student pilot
D: Two way communications. Student pilot
When above B or C under 10,000MSL you need: ADS B Out and Mode C
Over 10,000 MSL, excluding at or under 2,500AGL: ADS B Out
Within 4 nautical miles of the primary airport in Class C or D airspace, and below 2,500 feet AGL: The speed limit is 200 KIAS
Special use airspace (SUA), special flight rules areas (SFRA), temporary flight restrictions (TFR), and
other airspace areas.
SFRA:
Are areas where there are specific rules for flight operations that differ from the general aviation regulations. They are often put in place for security reasons. Washington DC
Special Use Airspace (SUA):
SUA includes airspace areas where flight is restricted for specific purposes. These airspaces are generally used to protect military operations, testing, or activities that may pose a risk to civilian aircraft.
MC PRAW NSA and TFR
Special visual flight rules (VFR) requirements.
Must be Private pilot and be cleared to do it. 1sm clear of clouds.
Not allowed at night unless instrument rated and plane is equipped for instrument.
