A
recalling offenders to prison and facilitating community sentences - this persuades or compels people to abide by the law or conform to their punishment given

if a person has been in prison for longer than 2 days and less than 2 years they will be assigned a probation worker for a year - the threat of going to prison if they fail this process acts as a deterrence
