Luke: The script is laid out for Jesus. He knows what he needs to do but just needs to make sure and do it. (24:45) where he meets confused disciples about his death and lets them know what is going on.

The two accounts are dishonest because the genealogy. According to Luke Jesus traces back to Adam (ch.3) while Matthew has Jesus trace back to Abraham. (ch1)

Relating the stories in essay one

A

Luke’s version of Jesus is appealing to the Gentiles because of the fact that he is poor, just as the Gentiles are. Meanwhile, Matthew is appealing to the Jews because of the fact that he comes from a long line of Kings. Also, because of the story of Jesus’ sermon on the mount, Matthew (5:1-7:28) which relates back to the story of Abraham on mount Sinai.
