Compare and contrast the molecular structures of globular and fibrous proteins.

Answer 1

both are chains of amino acids joined by peptide bonds, both contain hydrogen disulphide and ionic bonds, globular proteins have hydrophilic groups on the outside whilst fibrous proteins have hydrophobic groups on the outside, globular have tertiary or quaternary structures whilst fibrous have little or no tertiary structure

Suggest two differences between fibrinogen and fibrin.
