One leash around the neck and the second leash around the chest - behind the elbow on one side and in front of the shoulder on the other

small dogs, puppies, and fractious adults - instead make a harness which is basically two of the around the shoulder/chest straps

What are some things you can do for enrichment for your pet?
Kong with peanut butter or canned food, teach a trick, sit calmly with the dog and let them hang out, let puppies play in exam rooms, go for walks, oravet treats (one daily)
Should you let dogs interact with one another?
No - we need to assume that they do not get along, avoid introductions
What are some things that are ‘scary’ to a dog?
tall people, direct eye contact, loud noises, fast movements, hoodies/masks
When performing PEs on dogs, how many people should you have?
2 people
What can be done to break up a dog fight?
Make a loud, obnoxious noise to distract the dogs, move the dogs in opposite direction (they should have leashes on), use a large firm object to insert in between the dogs, distract with water, do not try to pull apart
How much blood should be pulled from a dog?
1.5-3 mLs
