Q

What are the four different types of locks used in ESP?

A
  • Safety Locks (Red), used by the AT to secure points of isolation (POI). Keys to these padlocks are placed in the lockbox.
  • Personal Locks (Blue), used by the working party and applied to the lockbox once all isolations are in place.
  • Control Lock (Green), used by the AT to secure the lockbox and allowing the surrender of the AWP to another AT.
  • General Safety Lock (Orange), used to establish local control before work is carried out. It ensures that no remote access can be gained while the AT has turbine control.
