Three subtypes of eosinophilic folliculitis:
A
- Eosinophilic pustular folliculitis (Ofujis disease): more common in japanese men, recurrent explosive crops of intensely pruritic grouped follicular papules and pustules.
* can also have erythematous patches and plaques that expand with pustules creating a figurate/serpiginous lesion - AIDS associated eosinophilic folliculitis
- Neonatal eosinophilic pustular folliculitis
- early in infancy, pruritic perifollicular pustules and vesicles on erythematous base usually on scalp
- self limited over a few months
