When is Imatinib indicated in Mast Cell disorders?
A
It is indicated for cases of advanced mast cell disease (ASM, SM-AHN, and Mast Cell leukemia) only if they do not have a KIT mutation or the status is unknown.

In general what are the treatment options for advanced systemic mastocytosis?
A
Avapritinib if platelet>50K, Midostaurin, Cladribine, peg-Interferon alpha +/-Prednisone, Imatinib if KIT mutation is negative or unknown. For MCL you don’t use Peg-interferon alpha. Imatinib is only used in ASM.
