Weigh a small amount of dry food
Skewer it on a mounted needle
Add a set volume of water in a boiling tube measure the temperature of the water.
Set fire to it using a Bunsen burner
Hold the food immediately underneath until the light goes out.
Relight the food until it no longer catches fire
Measure the temperature of the water
