How plants grow affects their temperature
- Plants that grow slowly (e.g. roots ) are warmer than those that grow quickly (e.g. salad leaves ). It takes several years for Korean Ginseng root to mature, thus its effect is very warming.
- Plants that grow in cold environments also tend to be warmer. Siberian Ginseng comes from a very cold environment and its effect is, therefore, very warming.
- Chemically fertilised plants grow much faster and are therefore cooler than naturally grown plants.
