Q

Rhyme for stages of making soluble salt from insoluble base + acid eg. Copper sulphate ( blue crystals )

A
  1. Heat acid gently
  2. Add insoluble substance until it no longer reacts ( in excess )
  3. Filter off leftover insoluble substance
  4. Heat solution to evaporate some water until crystals start to form
  5. Leave solution to cool- more crystals form as cools
  6. Filter off and wash the crystals of the salt
  7. All the crystals to dry
