1552 survey of bishops and senior clergy. estimated lands had a capital value £1.09 mil, some property transferred to crown. Commissioners sent out to draw up inventories and begin removal of all gold and silver plate

What led to Treaty of Boulogne?
french broke lines of communication with Calais and Boulogne so English fleet defeated French ships in battle of Channel Islands so English had control of channel but couldn’t afford army to lift siege

1550 England withdrew for ransom 400,000 crowns and had to remove remaining garrisons from Scotland unless provoked

HRE
April 1550 allowed Catholic inquisition to arrest heretics in Netherlands. English merchants outraged, modified to exclude foreigners but helped fall of Antwerp cloth market. Only in December did Charles make any attempt to restore trading relations
Agreement with Scotland
March 1552 agreed border be restored to line before Henry VIII Scottish campaigns
Devyse of the Succession
based on Henry declaring Mary and Liz illegitimate, their rights had been restored but there was still confusion. Northumberland argued for Lady Jane Grey who married his son 6 weeks earlier
