Eutrophication
A process at which nutrient levels in aquatic ecosystems lead to increase in population of primary producers.
Biodiversity
The variety of life in the world or in a particular habitat or ecosystem.
Habitat loss
The destruction of habitats which usually result from human activities.
Deforestation
The practice of clearing a forest for logging or other human uses, and never replanting them.
Alien species
A species that is accidentally or deliberately introduced into a new location.
Invasive species
A species that can take over a habitat of native species.
Overexploration
The use of extraction of a resource until its depleted.
Extinction
The death of all the individuals of a species.
Biodiversity crisis
The current accelerated rate of extinction.
